The Jackson County Genealogy Society offers four scholarships annually to area high school seniors who are students at one of Jackson County's four high schools. One through the Jim and Jean Scott Foundation, one through the Robert Larry Crawford Scholarship Fund, one through the William Loranzo Crawford Scholarship Fund, and one through the Lenoir Nicholson Stack Scholarship Fund.
Deadline to apply for all four scholarships is Friday, April 3, 2020.
Mail completed applications to Jackson County Genealogical Society, P.O. Box 480, Sylva, NC 28779; or drop applications by the JCGS office, located in the Courthouse Wing of the Jackson County Library and open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The JCGS Scholarship Committee reviews all applications and selects the applicants who will be interviewed. Applicants must appear in person for the interview.
